Felix was planning to spend the day with his snow leopard friend. At least, that was the plan. He and Nafster had agreed to meet at Nafster's place to hang out, but any attempt to confirm they were still on went unread. Felix decided he would still show up, maybe something had happened with Nafster's phone and he had to get a new number. If anything, it would be good to check up on Nafster to make sure everything was okay! The man arrived at Nafster's apartment, knocking a few times. However, there was no answer. "Hello? Anyone home? Nafster? It's me, Felix!" he shouted, hoping that maybe that would lead to the door opening. Felix decided to see if the door was unlocked, and it turned out, it was! The knob turned as the door opened without problem. However, there was something much more concerning when Felix walked in, the apartment hardly looked like an apartment at all! Felix stepped in, and everything looked so much bigger and even had woodland hints, which was strange since the apartment was very far away from any kind of nature! The door closed behind him, Felix turning to look at it and seeing it was completely different now. Looking back into home, he would see someone else standing there who wasn't before. She was a wyvern woman with purple scales dressed in a dark purple dress along with a witch's hat resting between her horns. "Uh...you're not Nafster." Felix could only mutter, his mind still processing everything that was going on. "Oh, another one of his friends." the wyvern rolled her eyes. "Look, he's gone, get over it! Besides, I'm sure he'd much rather be Thalia than just some geeky snow leopard." "Wh-what does that mean?" Felix blinked a few times, shaking his head. "Whose Thalia?" "You're looking at her!" Thalia said with a bow. "Take it all in, because there's just so much of me to love at all angles~!" she winked. "And to answer that question, I took over his body! Someone had to be my vessel, and that snow leopard was the lucky one who got chosen! You have no idea how hard it is to store your essence in a hat for centuries." Everything that Thalia was saying wasn't exactly making sense, but considering that he had seemingly gone through a portal to an entirely different home, something told him that there might be truth to her words. "Okay...so Nafster is...you?" "Ew, no." Thalia shook her head. "I'm me! Nafster was just a way to bring me here. Why would I ever want to be anything but this sexy dragoness standing before you~?" she cooed with a smirk. "But you're not the first person to ask me about Nafster and honestly? I'm soooo sick of it!" "Couldn't you just like...bring him back or something? If you can make magic portals out of doors surely you can do that!" Felix suggested. "You know, that's not a terrible idea. I do hate people interrupting me when I'm trying to relax or trying to get some work done, and I'm so sick of hearing that name!" "Oh, good. We were supposed to hang out so I guess we still get to." "Wellll, I wouldn't be soooo sure of that~!" Thalia cooed, holding up a hand as yellow and blue sparks jumped off of it. "Huh? But you said bringing him back was a good idea!" "And it is! But now you can deal with people coming to his home! I can finally get rid of that stupid portal. Gives me such a headache. It did do a good job at fishing people in, though!" she smirked, giving a flick of her wrist as the sparks struck Felix right in the chest. "Gah! What was that!?" Felix questioned, holding the point of impact that had a warmth spreading from it and traveling all over his body. "Just some magic, do keep up! I'm a sorceress, did you think this outfit was just for show?" she asked with a laugh, watching as Felix's body began its transformation. Felix's hair changed color, the dark brown becoming silver as it became shorter, turning into a fluffy tuft of shaggy hair at the top of his head. It wasn't just his actual hair that was changing, with Felix growing hair all over his head. Unlike his hair, the color of it was light gray, with white fur growing over his mouth and down the front of his neck. In the gray areas, black spots formed in no organized pattern. The shape of Felix's ears altered, the sides becoming more curved and the tips more rounded, taking on a much more circular appearance. The exterior of them had gray fur with black spots, while the interior of them turned a beige color. Felix's face grew longer, expanding into a long and wide muzzle. The teeth inside Felix's maw became a bit sharper, some turning into feline fangs. His nose now rested at the tip of Felix's snout, the coloration turning a bright pink as the shape turned more triangular. Felix's pupils became a bit more slitted, while the color of his eyes turned a bright blue. With an animistic head, more animal traits would form onto Felix's body. The fur spread down from his head, with the white going down the front of his body all the way down to his waistline. Felix's arms, sides, hands, and back would have gray fur replace his original body hair and just like his head, gained various block spots of fur all over. Felix's fingernails moved to the tips of his fingers as they turned gray, becoming a set of dulled retractable claws. Between Felix's legs, the white fur would finish its growth with two long white ovals at his inner thighs. Surrounding that and all the way around his feet would be the last of the gray fur growing, Felix's body now covered in a thick coat of fur from head to toe. The length of Felix's feet became longer, all while he lost the two edge digits, leaving only three. The nails on them shifted into dulled gray claws, retractable just like the ones found on his fingers. Despite being an animal, Felix did not gain paw pads, his feet completely flat underneath the fur. The last bit of Felix's physical change would come at the base of his backside. His spine extended, growing even longer than his legs themselves by a few inches. The underside of Felix's new tail would have white fur, while the rest of it was gray with black spots. The end of Felix's tail ended in a circular tip, with the width of it consistent throughout, some strands of fur sticking out but most of it organized. With that, Felix was a human no more, but a snow leopard. Felix's outfit changed as well to better match his new appearance. His jacket would have the two halves merge together, leaving no opening as its yellow color turned a dark gray that was almost black. The white hood became the same color, turning into a more traditional hoodie. Felix's jeans softened, the material changing so that the jeans turned into sweatpants, the cut near the ankle bunched up slightly. The logo on Felix's shirt vanished, becoming a plain black T-shirt. Lastly, both Felix's shoes and his glasses dematerialized, vanishing from his form entirely. And with that, Felix stood as an identical copy of Nafster, from his fur pattern, spots included, to his height and even his voice box had altered to perfectly match Nafster's. He wasn't just any Nafster, he was Nafster! "There. Now Nafster's back and everyone's happy." Thalia dusted her hands off. "You're Nafster now!" "I'm not Nafster! I'm Felix!" the new snow leopard responded in a panic. "Doesn't look that way to me. I remember that snow leopard I transformed and you match him to a tee!" Thalia laughed. "But, this isn't right! He's my friend not me!" "And I don't really care! You wanted to spend time with him, now you can spend time AS him! That's close enough if you ask me!" "That's not-" Felix went to argue more, but was stopped by Thalia talking over him. "Not my problem. I have things to do. I'm a very busy wyvern you know! Can't spend all time yapping about this. Off you go then." Thalia flicked her wrists again as the door behind Felix opened, suction coming from it as he was pulled through the door, unable to grab anything with how quickly everything happened. He tumbled and eventually, was spit out right where he began - Nafster's apartment. The one difference was that he was on the inside. Felix went to the door, opening it and walking through a few times, though his tail got caught in the doorway a few times, not used to having such a long appendage behind him! "Okay...so that's not a portal anymore..." Felix said to himself, twitching his head when he heard the voice escaping his muzzle. It was weird sounding exactly like someone else. He entered into the apartment and closed the door behind it, looking at the full-body mirror that was hung on the backside of the door and looking his body up and down. Felix moved his tail behind him. If he wasn't paying attention to it, the tail would idly sway but he could move it like he could his arms if he focused on it. His ears were slightly similar, but running much more on instinct. If he heard something, they'd flick up, or poke straight up when he was excited. And despite the oddity of being in the body of his friend, Felix had to admit, he felt pretty excited about the prospect of being a snow leopard! Was it identity theft if you were literally the same person? Everything Thalia said did cause concern, and he wanted to help save Nafster from whatever the "vessel" business was. But if she could transform him into a snow leopard, he didn't want to think about what else she could turn him into! Besides, he had no idea how to actually get back to Thalia. For now, Felix decided it would be better to stay as Nafster. While he put on a face of being panicked about the whole situation, deep down, Felix was excited. He did always like the way Nafster looked, and now he was him! Snow leopards were great animals, but he never pictured himself as one before! He couldn't save Nafster, but he could at least take on the role of Nafster until this whole Thalia business was situated! Felix was going to have fun seeing what life as an anthropomorphic snow leopard was like, though did wonder how much of Nafster had rubbed off on him. Felix was still thinking the same, but had heard stories of the various transformations the snow leopard had gone through in the past. He wondered if the same would happen to him, or he'd get to stay as he was now. Regardless, Felix looked at his reflection again and smiled, unable to stop his tail from wagging or his muzzle to go into a toothy grin. This experience wasn't one that he ever thought he would go through, but he was going to be the best Nafster he could be so the real Nafster could return to the same life he left!
