Joseph was enjoying his vacation at the ranch house. It was something that was easy to do since he didn't actually have money for anything! Everything was free, both the stay and the food which was unexpected but certainly not unwelcomed! He had planned to stay for two weeks, with the first week almost over. He hadn't met the owner of the land yet, only heard them working outside - it was still a ranch after all! Though that changed when there was a knock on the door. Joseph answered it and was greeted by a yellow bunny woman in a red flannel tied underneath her chest with jeans and a cowgirl hat. "Howdy sugar, enjoying yer stay?" she asked him. "Oh yeah, it's been great! I take it your the one whose been working around here?" "The one and only, usually anyways. Sometimes my sister is here to but she goes into town for me. I ain't crazy about all them buildings, I prefer the dirt and animals! Much calmer out here." she gave a chuckle. "Fair enough." Joseph nodded along with a laugh of his own. "What brings you by though?" "Firstly, I'm Dixie, forgot to introduce ma'self. But I gotta talk to ya' about your debt for your stay." "D-debt?" Joseph was taken aback. "I thought I didn't have to pay for the stay!" "Not cash no, but you gotta work off what you use sugar!" Dixie responded. "And from what I've gathered you've used a lot." "Well yeah, I thought it was free!" Joseph answered in a somewhat panicked tone. "What do I have to do?" "Relax sugar, ain't no reason to get nervous!" Dixie reassured him. "Though your stay is gonna have to get extended a bit to fully work off everything. Like I said you went through a lot so ya' got a lot to work off!" "What kind of work am I doing exactly...?" Joseph rubbed the back of his head. "I don't really know anything about farm work!" "Don't worry your little head about that sugar! I'll take care of it all. It'll come naturally, I assure you!" she said as she took off one of her gloves and revealed a glowing finger. "Why is that glowing...?" Joseph questioned. "I could explain, but I reckon it'd just be better to say ya'!" Dixie said, pointing it at Joseph. He was confused but that confusion would turn into surprise when a small beam of light shot out from the tip and struck him in the chest. This caused his body to fall down onto all fours, both from the strange sensation the blast caused and from his rapidly changing skeleton. His ability to stand on just two legs was stripped away, now forced to stand on all fours. Once that happened, his feet and hands would both have their digits merged together as they flattened and rounded, hardening into a set of hooves. His legs and arms both became thinner, though the upper part of his hind legs would become much stronger as they were now the main way of supporting the weight of his body. The size of his body shrank down, becoming smaller overall. All over Joseph's body, wooly white fur began to grow. It was very puffy and covered the majority of Joseph's head and body. His legs, arms, and face were the only parts where the wool wasn't too prominent. Fur still grew over those places, but they were much shorter. At the base of Joseph's body, an entirely new appendage would form. It was short, covered in wooly fur as he now possessed a tail. The animalistic features continued at his head, where his face extended out a fair bit to form into a rather long muzzle. His nose enlarged at the end of it, the coloration turning pink as the nostrils grew in size. His ears moved further apart from each other, both resting at nearly the edge of his face. Joseph's ears extended in both length and width, the tips of them becoming a bit more pointed while they gained a more floppy status. With that, Joseph was no longer a human man, but a wooly sheep. Mentally, Joseph would alter as well. His mind was becoming simpler, complex thought being lost on him. He'd understand basic commands as well as basic survival necessities, but outside of that, there wasn't much going on in his head anymore. He had been reduced to a very basic animal. "Alrighty, that otta do it." Dixie said as she put her gloves back on, watching as the sheep mindlessly wandered around, sniffing at some of the furniture. "Sorry I had ta' alter that mind of yours, but when it comes to prolonged stays it's just easier that way. I don't got time to babysit people in new bodies for long! I'm sure you understand." Joseph didn't process any of what Dixie said, only hearing what to him was the girl who took care of him and fed him. He simply muttered out a "baaah" in response. "I'll take that as a yes, not that you probably understood what I said." she laughed, bending down and gently petting Joseph's back. "You did turn into quite the wooly sheep! That'll make a lot of material when I get to shearing ya' I reckon." Dixie gave a small chuckle. "Aight, let's get you settled into a pen. Can't keep ya' in here for long or you might start breakin' stuff, then you'd just have to stay that way for much longer! You've already got a long time with how much debt ya' got to work off, can't imagine you want more!" With that, the bunny helped guide the sheep out of the main house and out toward the farm where he was put into the pens with the other sheep. She placed a small tag on his ear so that she would know which one was him, though that wouldn't matter for quite some time. Sheep could only grow wool so fast, so Joseph would be one until he made enough wool to pay off the debt he accumulated!
