It was the last day before they were to leave for another semester, and Kris was excited. They spent most of the day packing boxes, they packed their PC, supplies, and a plethora of plushies including Puro and the tiger shark from Changed, Niko from Oneshot, and a few Kirby plushies, and more. They wiped their brow as they decided to get a break and a bite to eat. They left their house and drove to the main drag of their suburban New York city, and decided to stop at a Subway to get a quick steak and mozzarella footlong. They pushed the hair out of their eyes, as it was always a tad messy. Kris checked his phone and messaged people on Discord, posting memes and sending love to their boyfriend. Kris was wearing a black vest and a plain purple shirt. When they picked up their sandwich, they decided to take a walk down the sidewalk while they ate. They passed by a bookstore, an embroidery place, and a grocery store. They also had their headphones on, listening to their playlist on Spotify. They were humming along when they saw a store they had never seen before. “Andrew’s Antiques Bazaar," they said, adjusting their glasses. The store was the definition of nondescript, with the name being written in a generic free-to-use script font. The building was small, it being sandwiched between a laundromat and a pawn shop. Kris was intrigued because the building was not there before. Kris looked both ways, and walked across the street. They walked inside the building. Inside the building was somewhat of a mess, records were stacked up on a suitcase which was stacked on a NES. Kris looked around scrounged in the boxes when they reached a nondescript box and decided to lift the lid. They heard a man. “Hey, Welcome to Andrew’s Antiques Bazaar, I’m Tony, Andrew is out today.”, Kris turned around to see a tall, lean individual in his late 20s wearing a grey polo and a pair of jeans. “Find anything interesting?”, Tony smiled at Kris. “Was about to look in this box”, Kris pointed at the box. “Ohhh, that box”, Tony looked weirded out, “That box was from the warehouses of a toy company that made halloween costumes, but they went bust before they even sold it. Apparently there was a curse involved, and the costumes shouldn’t be worn. You can check it out though. Andrew bought it at an estate sale or something” Kris decided to look inside the box. Inside was a hood that had little side things attached to it like a cobra, a fake looking tail with a tassel of fur at one of the ends, in a plastic bag with a cardboard closer thing saying “Pin the Tail on the You”, a cloth band with two horns on it, and a large, heavy horn that look like nothing Kris had seen. “Tell you what, I’ll sell you one of the things for 20 dollars, you can only get one though…” Kris thought and looked back at the box, the cobra looking hood looks cool, but the big horn would look nice somewhere. The donkey one is funny in a “they tried” way at least, and the band with 2 horns on it could be painted for something. “What should I choose?”
