One Question, Mulitple Answers How do the G-52s and their Allies Celebrate Christmas? ------------ Question: How do the G-52s Celebrate Christmas? Answer: It depends on the G-52. In most cases, they spend it with their families and friends. If a G-52 is the only one in the family that is alive, however, a different G-52 or ally might invite them to spend the day as a guest. There are some exceptions to the rule, though. These are some of the most common cases throughout the years: 1. Leo the Patriotic Lion has no relatives living; he's all by himself. Prior to being elected as the President of the United States, various G-52s took turns inviting him as a guest for Christmas dinner, and for some gift exchanging. The one that has done this the most is Cripto. As President, Leo spent this Christmas in Wildcat City, but just as a visitor, and performing jazz music on melodic percussion instruments (such as vibraphone and marimba). 2. Cripto hosts Christmas for his family at his house more than when a relative invites him over to theirs. More often than not, though, he invites a G-52 as a guest since his family sometimes asks to meet them in person. 3. Super C and his dad (Prius) spend it just with one another, since there aren't any other relatives living. In other cases, Cripto invites them over as guests. 4. D.W. (Danger Woman) spends it with her family. 5. T2 (Techno Tiger) spends it with his family. Crush (Bonecrusher) usually is a guest, since he doesn't have many, if any, relatives left. 6. Prior to being Vice-President, Tom the Patriotic Tiger would always spend it with his father, SSG Benjamin Wilder of the Hellcats of West Point. As VP, he just did a virtual session with his father, due to weather. In all cases, they spend part of their day playing fife and drum music together. 7. The Drumbums spend their Christmas season playing Christmas music in a jazzy fashion, although if the song they're playing is "The Little Drummer Boy," they'll play it like a march. Their arrangement of that song, however, has been criticized for sounding too much like a funeral dirge. They don't generally buy gifts for one another because they come from cultures that came off as anti-materialist. For each other, their gifts were their music. 8. Corps Coon travels back to his original hometown of Allentown, PA, to be with his family for Christmas. (He alternates between that town and Wildcat City.) 9. The former non-musical members of COTS (Circus of the Superstars), meaning Rolf the Wolf (Ringmaster), Gerry Gurdetha (Daredevil Bear), Jamie Jones II (The Incredible Illusionist; The Amazing Jamie), etc. all do a white elephant gift exchange every Christmas Eve, or on any day leading up to Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is a day they spend with their families. 10. The musicians of COTS alternate between a marching band, a concert band, and a jazz band (all with Rolf as conductor), and also play various Christmas music, religious and non-religious. 11. The four monarchs of the Forsythe System (King Leo V of Kriegland, King Lionel XVIII of Leonine, King Lackund of 1776, and King Ross II of Ratatat) pick one of the four mansions each year, and spend Christmas with one another. They have it to themselves, though, because their staff (incuding the royal fanfare ensembles) have the holidays off. 12. Other G-52s also celebrate the holiday based on their home country and its traditions.
