I know you stand up for freedom of speech and capitalism, which I know are important to our national values. But at the same time, not everybody in Denmark is too open.  Where I live, I took part in protests against anyone who wants more hotels in our city.  Why?  Apparently the name of our city has attracted immature English speakers who keep us up day and night with their immature jokes and bother us!  We Danes in this city just want to live our lives in peace. 

I'm about to get married with my girlfriend soon here, have our own house, and, of course, have children. We have to warn people several times that opening up more hotels in our city will attract more immature tourists. We do just fine without any more hotels, you know. So this leads me to a curious question about you: What do you think about people, such as myself, in the city of Middelfart (we will not change the name to please English-speakers because our national official language is Danish, not English), who engage in protests against opening additional hotels in our city?

[color=white][i]Dear Hilbert:

I don't have any problems with you protesting against things like that because I, too, am irritated with the immature tourists.  One guy went as far as to smuggle CNG into the signs in order to make them hallucinate and think they were seeing a different name, which I think was a possible alternate name for the city.  I get it, though; the city will not change its name because of its history, heritage, and culture, which these idiots don't understand.  People should do research before they make a decision.  It therefore didn't surprise me at all to see that your hometown temporarily put a ban on tourists.  (The CNG crisis wants that to be permanent.)

I wish you and your girlfriend all the best as you start a new life together; the most beautiful gift one can give is the gift of life.  And helping our children grow into tomorrow's leaders is nothing less than a divine privilege.  I've had the honor of seeing many emerging young leaders in my career as a naval officer.  All these things contribute to why I am so proud to be Danish.
