Background: A. Ryan was born on Earth in August of 2525, to a disfunctional family consisting of a father who was rarely home, a mother who worked overtime to provide for him and his two brothers. His father left the family shortly before his 9th birthday, leaving his mother heartbroken, expecting another child and pushing his siblings onto the path of drugs. Adam joined the UNSC Marine Corp after graduating High School, shortly after completing basic training Adam was stationed aboard the UNSC Corvette "A Stone's Throw Away" as a Lance Corporal. It was on this ship that Adam was both promoted to Sergeant after his first engagement with the Covenant which resulted in then Lance Corporal Ryan receiving shrapnel along his left side and receiving the Purple Heart Medal and was then later demoted back to a Private First Class after a fiasco involving a female Naval Lieutenant. PFC Ryan was placed in the ship's Brig for an altercation with an ONI Operative (Dossier of said Operative is classified at the highest level.) Details of the altercation are varied but the most told variant is: ONI Operative (Name Redacted) was involved in a "fist fight" with PFC Ryan. The ONI Operative had openly mocked one of PFC Ryan's fellow Marine from Basic Training. (The Marine in question was listed K.I.A. in an earlier engagement.)  PFC Ryan had according to reports, told the ONI Operative to "shut the ---- up" multiple times before punching the Operative in the stomach and proceeding to dominate the Trained ONI Operative. The Commanding Officer in the mess hall had remarked "I've never seen someone take a Spook down so quickly and effortlessly" PFC Ryan was being considered for a Court Marshall but Rear Admiral Rich, N. Used his authority to quickly "sweep the matter under the rug" PFC Ryan then volunteered for the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers and fought in many engagements against the Covenant, losing many comrades against the seemingly unstoppable onslaught and rising to the rank of Master Sergeant. He was reassigned to Reach a year before the Fall of Reach, making many friends within various branches of the UNSC military. The last report of his whereabouts after Reach fell is as follows: MSgt Ryan was en route to the Pillar of Autumn with many other UNSC personnel, There are many conflicting reports of him being listed KIA, WIA or MIA. The most widely held belief amongst soldiers he served with is that he is MIA.

Adam was one hell of an ODST. He never complained, always did what was asked of him as long as it didn't involve leaving anyone behind. I've actually had to knock him unconcious in order to drag him onto a Pelican so we could abandon an outpost. We left alot of people behind that day.... he never did hate me for that. He had a strange attraction to classic music "rap" is what he called it. He always had music playing in his SOEIV during drops, never could manage to figure out how he managed to always have a new copy every drop. ~Anonymous ODST.

It's a shame to hear that hes MIA, he always had a plan. Sure sometimes it was crazy and ended up with him being reprimanded but most of the time all of us made it back to the ship in one piece. ~ Former Squadmate.
