Name: Isamu Age: 23 (Though he totally doesn't act it.) Gender: Male Orientation: Anybody who'll love him (Ahem, nobody.); Very romantic. Species: Pureblood Oriental Dragon Height: 20' (Okay, 19' 9", close enough.) Weight: ~900 lbs Appearance: Isamu is an oriental dragon with a base color of white, with an ochre belly, blue mane, and brown eyes. He does not wear any clothes (not that he actually has anything to hide) and will usually only be seen in either his lab coat when at work, or in a traditional Japanese kimono during formal occasions. History: He was born in Japan to a wealthy and intelectual family, whereupon he was lovingly raised for the next two years. He was discovered to have a very high IQ, and fitting so he learned at an incredible rate. Within months of his birth he learned to properly speak and his parents began homeschooling him. They moved to America on a whim, where they began sending him to private school at the age of, God forbid, four. Once he entered school, his whole life was devoted to studying, twenty-four seven. He even picked up a spell from his parents that negated the need for sleep, allowing him to also use the night to study. He breezed through all levels of school with flying colors, skipping grade levels and setting records until he graduated high school at 13. His parents immediately sent him to college, where he decided to take courses in varying fields of science, which he thought to be "his thing." Still true to his reputation, he graduated in three years flat and began working at Mayridge General Sciences Laboratory, where I work now. Now, despite his incredible IQ and overall smartness, he bitterly lacks social skills. Having spent all his life studying, all he knows is books. Thanks to his lack of social interaction he can be very immature, unpleasant, and blunt in any given conversation. Expect any conversation with him to be very awkward if not infuriating. He tries desperately to make friends but finds few can tolerate him, thus he's more than a tad lonely. The fact that his parents moved back to their ancestral home in Japan upon his graduation from college doesn't help at all, either. "The Incident": Frankly I've had the displeasure of being one of his few friends. We used to work together frquently in the lab, and despite his lacking social abilities I was pleased to have an intelligent mind to talk to. But things went down the drain during a dinner party for all the employees at the lab. I brought my gir--erm, friend--Amber with me, and he fell head over heels for her. For my gir--erm, friend. He stewed over thoughts for her until he had the brightest idea ever. If you can't tell I'm being totally sarcastic. He brainwashed her into going on a date with him thinking he'd be able to wipe her memory of the date before the spell wore off and act like nothing happened, so he'd be able to satisfy his desire for her once and for all. The spell wore off early and she gave him a black eye and a few harsh words to chew over. I blackened his other eye when I saw him the next day. This was but a few months back and I've still not forgiven him. I may never. You couldn't blame me. Alcoholism? What makes you think that?: If you ask him he'd deny it, but he is a common drinker. He began drinking after "The Incident," mostly as a ways of escaping his grief. It began as a way of temporarily escaping his troubles in drunken bliss, but he slowly became a compulsive drinker as he fell deeper and deeper into the rut he dug. And it doesn't at all help that he has a poor tolerance for alcohol, meaning he gets very drunk very easily. It's not an uncommon sight to go to the bar (if you do) and find him passed out, slumped over the counter with a glass of vodka in his hand.
