Path, a poem of guiding from the mind of Adaephon Light a candle I'll show the way Down this o'ergrown path To a brighter day Come with me Look around, my friend The goal's the journey Not always the end. On this road I am merely a guide When we reach the end, I vanish off the side. This path, my friend Leads to something dear. Before we reach the end You will meet someone here. I forever walk this road As the trees call my name I bear this forlorn load Yet ever walk the same. This path, this wending trail This tale of life and love Carried on the tail Of the soul in flight above Do not fear the night I can guide you through I am led from out of sight Though this is nothing new. For me, the path ends here I know not what awaits. For you may see something dear But I see only locked gates. Travel on, my friend Over hill and dale And when you reach the end Cherish your lifelong tale.
