The baker opens the front door to his hut, once again met by that same smiling, little kobold standing there, wiping its paws off. Without even a word, the kobold opens its arms, and the man kneels down to give it a super tight, warm hug, knowing that it must have gone a long time without one. The little creature’s tail goes swish-swish-swish as the human hoists it into the air. "It has been a long time since we last met, little thing! What brings you back to this little town? How has your quest been?" The man brings his friend inside, to escape the rain sprinkling in the streets outside. The kobold’s shaking only stopped once in the warmth from the hut’s furnace, fresh bread baking inside. "I-I finished my quest…” The kobold’s legs sway in the air, and a nervous expression comes across its face. It clutches onto the gilded amulet in its hands, protecting that small jewelry as if the life of the planet depended on it. “If you’re done, why do you still have this thing?” He points to the artifact of ancient blushes. “You told me that you were destined to deliver it to your dragon.” “I have delivered it, but... it was not in the way I expected. I have gone through so many dungeons, dens, and kingdoms looking for the kind, caring dragon that would help me find happiness, yet… I never realized that… my dragon was somewhere else." As the kobold hugs tighter, the amulet’s rim lights up. Before the baker can ask any questions, he flinches as his tailbone is pushed down, forcing him into a hunch. The surprised human gasps as a long, pointed appendage bursts out from above his hind end, filling the inside of his pants with all of its girth as it coiled in a tight space. The tip of that thing tickled his legs, and he could feel his clothes stretch out in response to it. When he turned his head to look at the bulge in the seat of his pants, the confused man’s face grew outwards too. His nostrils flared up, and the shape of his nose soon began to resemble that of the very kobold he was hugging. "H-How is this… huh… happening!?" "The best dragons are inside the ones we love!" The kobold exclaimed. "On that day when the adventuring guild rejected me for being a tiny kobold, and I was left sitting on the rainy side of the path, you were the one who offered me a piece of bread! You were the one that let me snuggle in your bed at night when I had nowhere else to go! You were my dragon all along! The amulet has recognized you as the one who will use its power to help people, rather than cruelty! Come on and let your wings unfold!" In an instant, the human’s shirt ripped open from behind, revealing a pair of large, scaly sails that were so large they scraped against the roof. His face got even redder when his pants tore open, and a large, reptilian tail flopped down to the ground with a “thud!”. The weirdness from all those new body parts made him drop the kobold, who kept smiling and giggling, as if that transformation was the most entertaining show in the world. He soon found his skin hardening into a thick coat of hard, red scales, which felt like wearing a perfectly fit armor. When the scales went up his back, and reached his head, a row of spikes formed between his wings, and he grunted in confusion as two long horns sprouted from his head. His heart beat heavily as he touched those new, sharp ended things that added multiple inches to his height. "I-I'm your drrrrragon? B-But I'm not even that strong! I can barely lift a big table!" "It's not about the strength of the body, silly..." The kobold jumped up, poking the new dragon’s nose, and he stared in surprise as he sneezed out a tiny fireball. "Will you be my dragon, please?" “Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! B-But, but!-” He soon felt the kobold climbing up his wings, and even though that little creature was light, the former human was pushed forwards until he landed on his hands. From there, the kobold scooted up his back and held those horns tightly, using them like handlebars. “Good dragon! You’re so cute!” As the kobold’s tail thumped against him, the dragon’s body weight tripled and made cracks on the rocky floor. His torso widened to the point where several kobolds and humans could feasibly fit on his backside, his head grew to the size of a stool, his limbs stretched extra veiny and bulging with tough muscles, and his hands and legs bloated up to the size of cooking pans. He also developed long, sharp claws, and his fingers individually stiffened, as if they were tied together to a plank. The kobold wrapped its arms around his neck, and he blushed as it grew extra long. Soon it had such length that he had to slouch against the roof of his own hut! He was taking up almost all the space! A queen-sized bed wouldn’t be enough to fit all of his reptilian mass! He was just lucky that his bakery had a large entrance, or else he’d be stuck in there… “Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrawrrrrrrrrrr!” Came from his mouth as he tried to scream, and blades of fire shot out through the gaps of his teeth, which were becoming extra pointed and sharp. “Will you please be my dragon?” The kobold, now even smaller compared to him, nuzzled the back of his neck pleadingly. “W-Will you make me an extra happy kobold?” “Rrrr… I… rrrph… t-this is strange…” He was relieved to find that he was still able to growl out some words. The dragon swayed his large head around, scales as red a blush. It would be embarrassing to explain to the rest of his village that he would be a large, scaly beast from now on, especially with how small a guy he had been before. Usually whenever a dragon was seen in town, it was the pet of a party that had raised it since its hatching. What if they thought he was this kobold’s animal companion!? On the other hand… as he glanced to the furnace, whose flame was beginning to die down. “Rawrrrrr… I… suppose I would be able to… rrrrr… help bake a lot more bread for the people with this… rawwwwwwwwwwwwrrrr… gift of fire…” He turned his neck to look at the kobold riding him, surprised to find that it was able to rotate all the way around. “P-Plus… rrr… I’ll get to have you as my…. Rawrrrrrr… kobold…” “Not just me! If you accept, other kobolds will naturally gravitate towards you! You’ll wake up with new ones hugging you and playing with your tail! And we’ll all take good care of our adorable dragon companion!” The kobold giggled, squeezing the human tighter. “Rawrr… I-I just hope the rest of the village will be okay with kobolds moving in… sure, I’ll be your dragon! I will keep you a-all safe and I prrrromise to never use this body to hurt any of you!” “Yayyy!” The kobold squeezed him tighter, and the amulet glowed brighter, its power spreading over the entire town, creating a beacon of light that would call upon all the kobolds in the nearby area to that city… soon to form a big den of bread-loving kobolds. “And don’t worry, we will take good care of all the eggs you lay too, for the next generation of dragons!” “W-Wait, rrr… what!?”
