An epithet to those it may concern A reminder of why there is vilifying discern Hatred beyond comprehension, words too vile But have no means to properly communicate it For it would be too upfront in our modest society Where we keep the thoughts concealed Away from our delicate ears Leaving it lying about, as it might cause wounds. Do you remember our problems, clear as day? Do you see why, we lack any logical movement? In the face of adversity, in the guilds of the damned? To problems easily mended by small contribution? It is because we lack drive, to assist the common man Far more palpable to watch their suffering We stand idly by, like lifeless mannequins While great evil happens all around us daily But we mute our senses to it, block it from entering our worlds For no other reason, for no greater purpose Because we are scared, spineless children. Your apathy is my hatred To sheepishly dance under a Tyrant's reign Your refusal for closure is my disgust To open new books only to never look back Your denialism is why many people are in misery And yet you look on and say "Oh, well." There will come a day where your selfish acts Will refuse to work in your favor ever again Maybe in the future, you will realize You are simply galactic dust Endlessly fighting to find meaning Like our brethren, who is also striving And eventually, your cowardice will give way And you cannot hide from the world any longer. But for now, we will settle For a simple gesture of spite That I won't ever be afraid to disclose I sincerely hope, that you will find yourself In excruciating pain, in incomprehensible horror And one will look on, remembering what you have done Only for them to say, with no remorse or stutter: "You are not my problem."
