It was a hot, crisp summer’s day. The sun was beaming down on the two travellers. They could feel the heat upon them and you could see it on their faces; the sun was roasting them alive, but they had to push on ahead. They had to keep going; nothing could stop them, nothing was permitted to delay them, not when they were so close. The pair of them had heard rumours of a place. A place where you could go and have fun, a place where they was no rules, where every day was a holiday. After several more hours of travel through forests and on empty roads, they had found it, well, what was left of it anyway. It was an old, run-downn carnival. The entrance was built twenty feet tall in the shape of a donkey's face, with the jaw being the opening, but it was overgrown with bushes and weeds. Both of them ventured in through the entrance and they could that the entire carnival was in an even worse state. It appears as if something went horribly wrong. The place was trashed and it appears as if whomever ran the place had packed up and moved away. Half the rides where broken down, the most important parts removes, everything else was worthless. Just toy stands, game stands and whatever else that was not a priority. The pair of them walk on further into the area, not one bit impressed with what they are seeing. Chuck was the least impressed. He sighed and through his arms up, slightly annoyed that he had dropped everything to come to this place. He fought at least that it would be opened, if not that then at least something worth stealing, but alas there was nothing. There was destroyed wood, hoof tracks and ripped clothing everywhere, but nothing of any value. Chuck would kick a stand, drinks falling from the table and spilling on the ground. His head slants backwards as he looks up into the sun, the heat beaming down onto him as he would grab one of the drinks that did not spill. He does not care that the drink may have been here for some time; the heat was too much as he slanted his head backwards and drank the contents. ---------- Colton would merely watch Chuck as he would lick his dry lips. He then extends his hand outwards and takes the other bottom and starts to drink the contents as well. “Chuck, can’t believe we travelled all this just to find out it's closed and is gone, this drink is actually good.” ---------- Chuck would turn his head and smirk lightly as he watches as Colton would walk up to join him, taking one of the drinks and taking a well-deserved mouthful. Colton was right, this was a total waste of time, looking over the place it was nothing sort of a total dump. Chuck would walk forward, kicking the discarded ripped clothing out of his way. He would then kick a pair of trousers as money would fall from the pockets and land on the ground, maybe this was not a total waste of time after all. “Well whomever these belonged to wont be coming back anytime soon for them so we might as well help ourselves Colton.” Chuck then bends down, lifting the money up and placing it within his pocket. He would then start to go through other items of clothing. Taking out wallets and removing the money from them and tossing them to the side like they were nothing. As he looks through the clothing he would spot numerous cigarettes and cigars on the ground. He moves more of the items of clothing to reveal that the ground is covered in unused cigarettes and cigars. He would pick up a few cigars, tossing several to Colton as he picks a unused match up of the ground, striking it he would light the cigar as he would then take several draws of it as he continues to kick the clothing aside as he searches for more items to take. ---------- Colton would merely lean against the stand where they found the drinks as he watches his friend get to work. “I wonder where everyone is and why there are so many ripped clothing.” And just as Colton finished those words, he would almost jump out of his skin as appearing out of thin air was what appeared to be a clown of some sorts. ---------- Chuck got the fright of his life as he slanted his head upwards and looked straight ahead, he wondered what Colton was staring at with fear in his eyes and he got a good look at it as well as a clown was standing before them. Chuck was up like a shot as he staggered back a little bit, the place had looked empty, it had appeared to be deserted, but that was far from the case. “Listen, we fought this place was empty.” Chuck was nervous, he didn’t know if this man meant them any harm and they were indeed a long way from home and more importantly help. Chuck would stand at Colton side as he holds his ground a little bit, not sure what was about to happen. ---------- The clown grins a sick smirk and then begins to speak to the pair of them. “The reason this place was abandoned was because of the terrible stories they tell of this place in that famous book Pinocchio.” The clown can see he has their attention as he would then continue speaking to the terrified youths. “As soon as people heard of those rumours they proclaimed it a myth, and people stopped coming, I’m surprised anyone still believes the stories.” ---------- The clown would then speak once again. "But the stories, they were true." Chuck would gulp as the clown utters the chilling words, but he did not truly believe them. That place was a myth, it was made-up, it was a fairy-tale, but by the way the clown had said it, it appeared to be true. The clown grins as he would then merely raise his hand upwards as he points at both Chuck and Colton. Chuck would feel a sharp pain on the top of his head, his hands slam to the side of his head, but to his shock his ears feel different. They feel almost furry as his fingers run along them as they are much longer than they should be. Pain then strikes at him as his ears would twist and turn as they grow more pointy and stretch out to the top of his head. The new set of brown ears sit upon his head, poking out of his blonde hair as he would stagger backwards in shock, his hands grabbing his long ears and tugging hard on them to ensure that they are real. “What is this!” ---------- The clown would grin as he looks away from Chuck and then looks at Colton. “I have not forgotten about you as well. This place is cursed you see, cursed to make brats like you the jackasses you were meant to be.” The clown would then point at Colton as he hunches over in pain. His ears were on fire as just like Chuck they would twist and turn as they grow out from the side of his head to rest upon your head. Colton and Chuck both stagger backwards a little bit, backing away from the clown as the walk backwards into the stand. Almost at the same time there hair on the top of their heads would change colour, charging to the darkest of blacks. Chuck was in a panic now as his hand shot up once again as he grabbed his hair, watching it change from golden blonde, to pure darkness. He knew what this meant as he felt the hair extending down his neck and to his back, forming a perfect mane of a jackass. Fur would then start to break out of his skin, light brown fur, the fur of the jackass he was becoming. Chuck was now in a panic as he could feel the brown fur spreading all over his body. ---------- Colton was also in a panic as he underwent the same changes as his friend as well. He felt his skin on fire as the fur spread across his body at an alarming rate. He hunched over as from the back of his pants a tail would shot out. “Ow! I have heard tones of versions how they do this, but this is the first time I’ve heard of a clown doing it!” ---------- Chuck’s head was spinning now, this was still way too much to take in. he would watch as a tail shot out of the lower spin of Colton as then he felt it., he felt the pressure and the pain. He felt the tail growing in his pants and it was looking for a way out now. Like a firework, the tail explodes out of the back end of his pants and there it was in all of its glory, the tail of a jackass, complete with a black tassel at the end of it. Chuck was losing it now as he would push Colton aside, this was all his fault anyway, he was the one that wanted to come here. Chuck would run for the exit, but by some means it was blocked. The exit doors were sealed, Chuck was trapped in this nightmare and it was all too real for him as he felt his new tail swaying back and forth, brushing against the back of his legs as. ---------- Colton changes where speeding up as Chuck shoved him out of the way and ran for the exit, Colton would again double over in pain as he looks up at the man that is doing this to them. “Why are you doing this?” ---------- The clown stood perfectly still, tall and silent, it did not utter a word. It merely watched its entertainment as Chuck smashed his fists against the door as hard as he could. He hit it and hit it and hit it until he wore himself out. He staggered backwards and tripped and feel over. He then felt more pain in his body, but this time it came from his feet. He watched in horror as his shows tore opened and ripped and fell to pieces. His feet where gone, they were no longer then, instead in their place was hooves, the hooves of a donkey. The hooves where fully complete as his ripped socks remained on his ankles. Chuck would waste no more time as he pushes himself up to stand on his hooves, he staggered at first but he then moved forward, hitting the door with his shoulder this time, trying to break it down as the clown looked on, arms folded over his chest and a sick smirk on his face. ---------- Colton was now on the ground, on all fours as his clothes tore of him, he was almost complete as he tried to beg one last time. “Stoppppppppppphee pleaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwww” He would get his words out barely as his face changes into a donkey's. ---------- Chuck could hear Colton screams turn into a bray of a common animal. He didn’t have time to look back, he didn’t have time to look at his friend, he was trying to escape and that’s all that mattered to him. He would back away on more time as he then rams the door once again, this time with success. The door would break in the middle, the wood shattering into pieces. Chuck would then moves his hands to start to remove the wood to create an exit, but as he grabs the wood he gets a shock as he hears a clopping sound. His eyes widen as he looks down to see his hands where changing. To his shock his hands were quickly hardening, shrinking, and merging, until he was left with nothing but donkey hooves, in place of his hands. He then lets out a sick scream in pain as his arms twist and turn as they change into a pair of donkey legs. He backs away from the door, as he could feel that his face was now on fire. His face on fire. His small nose was widen and flares out. The teeth in his mouth would grow larger as his jaw began to push out further, his face growing longer. Chuck could hear the brays of his friend as he felt his own body on fire, the fur growing in as he hunches in pain. He smashes the door with his heavy hooves and stays there for a moment. His new mane stretches all the way down to his back as his back snaps in to place. His shirt and trousers rip of him and fall to the ground as all that remained of him was a donkey. It was quite a sight to see indeed, the clown found it amusing. From his point of view all he saw was a donkey standing on its hind legs leanings against a locked door. Chuck could feel the changes coming to a stop. He felt the last pieces of his clothing, his ripped socks falling of his body as he then lost his balance. His hooves slipped away from the door and with a loud clop he landed on the ground on all fours. The new donkey ears would peal backwards as the animal turns around, it was afraid, it was scared and it wanted to escape. With a power kick with its hind legs the doors would final shatter and open, but it was too late. The donkey looks out to the open as it tries to speak, it tries to reason with the clown, it tries in vain to tell him to change him back. "Hee-haww,hee-haww, hee-haww!" ---------- The clown would then unfold his arms and nod at his handiwork. Where there stood two boys now stand two very confused donkeys. The clown then reaches behind the stand with the drinks on it and removes rope. He walks up to the two donkeys and ties the rope around their necks. Removing the last bit of clothing from them he would tug the ropes, leading the donkeys out of the park once and for all and bringing them into town to sell.
