What roads we walk, we walk alone Never knowing what's waiting at the end. Along the way, we meet our friends, The ones who help us stand. And though the distance may be great, While the time may not be there, One will always be around, One can always be found, Whenever you need a shoulder And whenever you can't find a prayer. Trials wait along the road. Many must be faced alone. While they will not be right there, Around the corner, or through the door, A friend will wait and never dare Insult the pain that you may feel, Hurt you more than you can bear, Or drive you though that pain again. Apart from many this road will be, Winding, turning, and confusing it seems. This road will never push you ahead, It will let you pace yourself. It will let you race your dream. It will let you chace your fear. It will lead you home once more. And home will keep you safe. Safe in the arms of family and love. Safe in the company of friends. Safe from the trials still waiting On the long, long road. 11/2/2009
